Terms & Conditions

These terms set the rules for using Utah Busted Mugshots. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.

Utah Busted Mugshots is privately operated and has no affiliation with any government agency, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA, and neither this service nor its advertising partners provide consumer reports or screening services. You may not use site information for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

What This Service Is

Utah Busted Mugshots is a private reference site that points readers toward arrest-record and booking-photo sources across Utah. It does not keep official records, confirm current custody, release anyone, or file a request with an agency on your behalf.

The site links to county systems, UDC, Utah Courts, archives, and outside research tools. Those offices and providers control their records, fees, access rules, and response times. The site is not a private investigation firm or a government records custodian.

Rules for Site Use

Use the pages and tools lawfully and in a way that does not harm other people or interfere with service. You agree not to:

  • Use site material to break a law or violate another person's rights.
  • Stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone named in a record.
  • Use site material for an FCRA-covered purpose.
  • Try to enter systems or accounts without authorization.
  • Run automated scraping or bots against the site.
  • Disrupt access or impair the service for other readers.

No Consumer Reports

This service does not provide background reports, credit reports, or consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Site material and linked tools may not be used to make decisions covered by the FCRA, including:

  • Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions.
  • Tenant or housing decisions.
  • Credit eligibility or insurance premiums.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to sheriff rosters, corrections pages, court portals, county sites, archives, news outlets, or search partners. Utah Busted Mugshots does not control those services, their data practices, uptime, charges, or content. Review the outside provider's rules before using it. Where a linked office handles a Utah public-record request, access is governed by applicable law, including the state's Government Records Access and Management Act, Title 63G, Chapter 2.

Information Provided As Is

Pages and search routes are offered “as is.” No promise is made that they will be:

  • Accurate, complete, or current.
  • Available without interruption.
  • Free of errors, defects, or security weaknesses.
  • Complete in the results returned by an outside search partner.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement from a Utah sheriff, jail, court, or government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Utah Busted Mugshots and its operators are not liable for loss or damages that result from access to or use of the site, its linked resources, or information supplied by another source.

Responsibility for Claims

You agree to protect and hold harmless the site operator from claims, costs, and reasonable legal fees that arise from your use of the service or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Material

Text, graphics, logos, and code on Utah Busted Mugshots belong to the site operator or the content partners who supplied them. Copying, changing, or distributing protected material requires written permission from its owner.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A change takes effect when the updated wording is posted here.

Access May Be Restricted

Access to the site may be limited or blocked at any time, with or without notice, when the operator chooses to do so.

Utah Law Applies

Utah law governs these terms. Any dispute must be brought in a court located in Utah, subject to the court's jurisdiction and applicable law.

Severability

If a court finds one term invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in force. The affected term should be narrowed only as much as needed to make it lawful.
